The website build
As part of the website build, our web designer, web developer and project manager were involved, working within Bright Maize’s existing branding.
Next steps
This project was planned around a staggered delivery timeline, allowing the website work to be balanced across phases and aligned to the client’s internal deadlines.
E-commerce improvements
We rebuilt and restructured the WooCommerce to improve clarity, scalability and long-term flexibility.
Noticeboard feature
A key part of the build was a new farmer noticeboard area, enabling farmers to submit listings via a form, with Bright Maize approving submissions before they go live.
The website build
As part of this rebuild, we created a new environment from scratch (rather than duplicating the existing site), giving us a clean foundation for a more modern design and stronger site structure.
Key build enhancements included:
- Mailchimp integration in the footer for newsletter sign-up
- Product datasheets moved on page (as product content rather than PDFs)
- Clearer, more structured product layouts that make technical information easier to digest
- New icons introduced as part of the refreshed design
- Header updates including local weather information
- A clearer history page concept with a vertical timeline

Next steps
Alongside the main rebuild, we planned improvements that help visitors find what they need faster — including clearer product presentation, reworked layouts for key pages (such as Advanced Programs), and refinements to how resources and updates are surfaced across the site.
With the new website now live, Bright Maize has a scalable platform that supports ongoing product growth, regional updates and continued engagement with the farming community.
