Wavefront Systems approached us as they were looking to build a new website for their growing company. As an engineering firm specialising in world-leading sonar products, they needed a functional website suited to their industry.
It was clear to us that, following initial discussions, there was a lot we could help Wavefront with. Whilst they had a clear vision about what was needed and where they wanted their digital marketing to go in the future, without in-house specialists in each area of digital marketing, they would benefit from working with us on a longer-term basis.

As part of the website build our project manager, copywriter, web developer and one of our web designers were all involved. The result is a well-received website which fits with the current branding and styles they wish to keep. It was positively reviewed by the whole company and one year on is ranking well within Google and is coming up in plenty of organic searches, as agreed in the original brief.

Next steps
We recognised they needed a post-website launch partner to increase the website pages, features and functionality. At this point, we explored the customer user journey so any potential customers would be guided to the right product without having to trawl through irrelevant pages.
This has been a success and we have shown that website visitors are finding the information they need by monitoring and reporting on the relevant SEO data.

Marketing Support
As part of the ongoing support, we have assisted Wavefront in increasing their social media presence and building a following. Sonar products are quite a niche market, so they are not going to end up with millions of followers. But, by concentrating on getting the right kind of followers, we have enabled Wavefront to become more visible to potential customers.
Targeted Google Ads were also part of our remit because, at that time, their account had some issues and they could not advertise through Google. We have assisted them with this and have been able to set up a new Google Ads campaign for them. To assist with their advertising requirements, we successfully helped place both LinkedIn and Facebook adverts.
Copywriting support
Initially, we assigned one of our copywriting team to work on the website copy. This involved both newly written copy and the editing and proofing of existing copy. Following on from this, Wavefront decided a monthly blog would be a helpful marketing tool for both SEO and social media marketing. This is something we have been producing for over a year now. Our copywriter has also been on hand to assist with various other mini projects over this time, including the wording for a video script, brochure and magazine article.
Whilst we continue to support them with a monthly digital support package, being able to call on our team when and if needed has been incredibly useful for them, particularly when they have had hectic periods. They appreciate being able to hand a digital task over to us and know it will be taken care of.
The support provided during the first year of development, including continued design and development of the site, blog and content creation, has allowed the Wavefront team to focus on growing our business.
We realised early on that the need for digital marketing was key to driving traffic to our website and into our sales funnel. Wadedigital worked with us on this by managing our blogs and social media, agreeing a plan at the start of the year which aligned with our broader marketing strategy and ensuring that we at Wavefront delivered the content for the plan in a timely manner so that it could be executed.
